Opinion...
1. What is your opinion about using blogs to teach "writing" in EFL classrooms?
I think that is very important to use a different techniques to develop students writing skills, and learn more vocabulary. However we have to be careful w¡th that, because the teacher don’t have to “abuse”, this is a complement of the whole learning process, but is a good one.
2. Do you like working using blogs?
Yes, at the begining was quite difficult to me, but I learnt how to manage a blog, add comments and pictures.
3. What are some of the advantages of using blogs ?
Improve our writing and grammar.
Develop the students creativity.
4. What are some of the disadvantages?
I consider that we can find one huge disadvantage ,that happens when the Internet is not working, the class activities should change, so the teacher must be prepared for that.
Also what happen if the school has not many computers?, the activity will be difficult to do.
5. Do you plan to use blogs in the future?
Absolutely yes!, because is funny and students can enjoy it!.
Do you have any suggestions to improve these "lab sessions"? or was everything all right?
I have just good comments:
1. The class was well planned.
2. The activities were funny.
3. We develop our creativity through the stories and poems we did.

Why is Writing important for an EFL teacher?
because allows to help students to discover their abilities, to encourage in their learning process, to be involve and participate in the class activities. the role of the teacher here is, to promote their creativity doing interesting exercises.
What is the best way to teach writing to children? to teenagers?
To children, you have to choose more interactive activities, because they lost the concentration quickly, short activities that have to be develop in class , and to teenager activities such as poems, a journal, haiku and different types of essays.

The Readheaded Kid
George, well known as the Readheaded Kid, was a smart and shy kid. He wanted to protect the world for all bad people. He had a special skill, that nobody knew, even his best friend Anthony; during night he was a detective with a strong force, he helped the police to discover the most difficult cases and catch thieves.
However he had an enemy: Mr. Evil who wanted his superpower. One day like others George went to the downtown to help the Chief Douglas, both walked through the most dangerous streets of the city, suddenly appear Mr. Evil with all his followers, “we are in troubles said Chief Douglas”, “don’t worry said George, I’m going to put Mr. Evil in jail now”.
After a hard fight, George win and send Mr. Evil to jail, all people were happy for that, but there’s one that was happier, a shy kid known as the Readheaded Kid.

With her new yellow sweater that gave her Grandma, Danielle started the short walk to new friends and teachers; she missed especially Miss Sandra who was the best teacher that ever had. She asked: “Danielle no matter what happen in you’re knew school you have to be brave; you are intelligent, if you try, you can do whatever you want, and achieve your goals”.
She was remembering those words, when a group of students were close to her: “I can do this, I am going to talk with them and make new friend, is easy… but I don’t think so! I don`t want to look ridiculous…

Reading a Newspaper...
I found an interesting news about the political campaing in USA ans it says the following:
The Republican Party spent on Sarah Palin $150,000 for clothing, shoes and make up, this amount of money is shocking but is necessary?
Some people say yes, because is legal and appropriate for the campaign to show a well dress candidate, however the McCain campaign mentioned that the clothing after the elections will be destined for charity. On the other hand, some people mentioned that is a waste of money.

In the article Scafidi says,. "When you see that number in the middle of a credit crunch" and consider the irony of "spending enormous amounts to reach ordinary people" for whom $150,000 is probably more than a year's salary, the spree is "a political disaster."
I think that all the money wasted in Sarah Palin is unnecesary, because is more important invest in health and education rather than clothes, but some people don't worry about, what can we do? just wait what will happen in the elections.

Argumentative Essay Reloaded
Define "terrorist." Under what circumstances, if any, is "terrorism" acceptable?
After 9/11 the word terrorism appeared constantly in Magazines, TV, Radio, and Internet. so I would like focused my second argumentative essay on that interesting topic.
I found on the internet some useful pages to understand what Terrorism is:
I read the interviews and I found so much talent on it, many of them are from teachers such a Milca, Andrés, etc.(very good partners!!!)but there are three that caught my attention. Which were Constanza, María José and Astrid interviews.
If I have to chose one, I prefer Astrid because of the topic and how she ask some personal questions to Rosario, I think she has talent!!
On the other hand, what did I learn from interviewing interesting people?...
that you can discover many things of people entering to some aspects of their lives, sharing painful or happy moments. Also you have to be prepared and be careful of what questions you are going to ask.

Interview
Ramón Pérez is not an ordinary man. He is a teacher, a pastor, a good father and a husband. He studied his Masters degree at Universidad de Chile and his PhD in Spain. Although he is the Vicerrector Académico of Universidad Adventista de Chile he is a humble person. With all the responsibilities that he has, Mr. Pérez receive all the students in his home with an open heart (I’m one of them).We share a nice moments and also we learn more about the Scriptures.
In this interview we can find some personal questions and other related to the University.
1. What do you do in your free time?
When I have time, I like to read and be with my children.
2. What places that you have made a strong impression on you?
I remember Moscow whit his Red Square, Venice is a beautiful place. Also Rome, the Colosseum and the Catacombs. In Germany the Branderburg Gate.
3. What kind of priority is giving the University to the use of the English language?
We are trying to reinforce the use of this language through the missionaries that come to our University to support conversations. There are some agreements with Andrews University to send students from the English Teaching Training Program to that Institution for the next year. Besides, we have the Language Institute project.
4. Who is your favourite writer?
I like Nietzsche, Savater also Ricoeur and Unamuno.
5. Why?
Because is a philosophical author that I like and I have dedicated time to study him because of my PhD.
6. Mention some advantages and disadvantages of being Vicerrector.
I have the opportunity to participate and collaborate in decisions, developing new ideas of this University, but the disadvantage is the lack of time with my family.
7. Can you leave a message to all the Unach students?
The students have to think and do things on their own. They have to establish high goals and defend their convictions, if you believe that this is true follow the truth like Ellen White said: “until heavens have fallen”.

1. The Argumentative essay has to contain a strong argument, with pros and cons in case that you have to convince the audience.
2. You have to chose a topic that can be support by some studies, sources and statistics.(show evidence)3. When you are writing an essay, you have to be logical with the ideas that you want to write.
An important aspect is when you add personal opinions, please be carefull!! and try to avoid that.
